Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Abu Rumman Center (“ARC”, “we”) collects through the arc.ps website and the ARC app, why, who we share it with and what you can do about it.

What we collect

When you order: your name, phone number, delivery address and city, and any note you add. Without an account, an email address only if you give one; we keep it with your order but do not send order emails to it.
When you create an account: your name, email address and password (stored only in a scrambled form we cannot read), and optionally your phone number. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile photo from Google.
While you use your account: your saved addresses, orders, favourites and your notification preferences. In the app, a device token so we can send you the notifications you allowed.
When you contact us: your message and the contact details you give, including emails you send to support@arc.ps or orders@arc.ps and any files attached to them.
When you review a product: your rating, what you write and the name you choose to show. After we have read it, the review appears publicly on the product’s page under that name, with the size and colour you bought.
Technical information: our servers keep short-term logs of requests (including IP addresses) for security and to stop abuse.
Pages viewed: we count which pages are viewed and how visitors found us (for example a search engine or an AI assistant), as anonymous statistics that can’t identify you or follow you from one day to the next. We also count visits by search engines and AI assistants.

Why we use it

To confirm, prepare and deliver your orders, and to contact you about them, including an email at each step with the invoice when the order is confirmed. Signed in, you can turn order emails off under Notifications.
To email you a link to reset your password, only when you ask for one.
To run your account and remember your bag, favourites and addresses.
To answer your questions and handle exchanges and returns.
To improve the website, the products we stock and our search.
To send offers only if you chose to receive them; you can turn this off at any time.
To protect the website and our customers from fraud and abuse.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics. We share information only with those who help us run the store:

Delivery companies: your name, phone number and address, to deliver your order.
Google: straight after you order, Google’s own box may ask whether Google can email you a short survey about our shop. To show it, we pass Google your email address, order number, delivery country and expected delivery date. Google emails you only if you say yes, under its own privacy policy.

Cookies and similar storage

We use a few first-party cookies and browser storage, all needed for the website to work or to count visits:

Sign-in cookies keep you signed in, and a device cookie lets you see and sign out your devices.
A visit cookie (30 minutes) and a source cookie (30 days) record how you found us, so we can see which sources bring visits and orders. The source cookie holds only a reference number.
Browser storage remembers your bag, recently viewed products and recent searches on your device.

You can delete cookies in your browser at any time, and you can still order without an account.

How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and legal purposes.
If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise its personal details; past orders are kept without being linked to an active account.
Contact messages and logs are kept only as long as needed to handle them.

Your choices and rights

You can see and correct your details, addresses and preferences in your account.
You can delete your account from your account page.
You can ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, using the contact details below.

Security

The website uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), passwords are stored scrambled, and only the staff who need it can see customer information.

Children

Our website is meant for adults shopping for themselves and their families. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The version shown here, with its date, is the one in force.
